Your support of WRR is crucial

Fellow WRR Listener,

I’m writing to you with an urgent plea for your support during the Friends of WRR fall membership drive, which is underway August 29-September 6.

Here’s why it matters:

It’s been a tough year financially. Covid-19 has impacted many organizations, and WRR is no exception. Frankly, our funding has taken a crucial hit. While owned by the City of Dallas, the radio station is 100% self-sustaining and receives no taxpayer dollars. If you love classical music and want to ensure that it stays on the radio as a free on-air service available to all North Texans, I urge you to join Friends of WRR today.

WRR is commemorating a century of service to North Texas. It’s our 100th year of broadcasting and we think that’s something worth celebrating and supporting. If you agree and are able to give, your support is greatly appreciated. Please click here to donate. Thank you in advance from all of us at Classical 101.1 WRR.

Sincerely,

Mike Oakes
WRR General Manager & Program Director
