Hispanic Heritage Month on WRR

From September 15 through October 15, WRR will be featuring the great Hispanic composers, conductors and performers of the present day and the past three centuries. While these selections are always a part of our program offerings, we’ll shine the spotlight on them a bit more during this annual celebration. The playlists for the current date and past 30 days are available under the “Playlists” tab on any of the WRR web pages.

Special programs:

The week of September 19th,  Exploring Music with Bill McGlaughlin, features “Distant Neighbors,” exploring the music of Mexico and Central America. Monday 9/19 through Friday 9/23, from 7pm to 8pm each evening. Information is available by clicking on the Exploring Music link on the WRR homepage.

A regular weekly program on Classical 101.1 WRR is Fiesta!  hosted by Elbio Barilari, providing a valuable platform for the sound, culture, and history of classical music in Latin America. Listen Sunday evenings from 9pm to 10pm. More information available HERE.
