WRR’s Easter programming 2021

Thursday, April 1st at 8 pm:
The Pittsburgh Symphony performs Verdi’s Requiem for The Concert Hall in observance of Maundy Thursday.


Friday, April 2nd at 1 pm:
Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of Christ will be featured for The Big One at 1:00 in observance of Good Friday. 


Friday April 2nd at 8 pm:
The Milwaukee Symphony performs Brahms’ A German Requiem and Lutoslawski’s Musique Funebre for The Concert Hall in observance of Good Friday.


Saturday, April 3rd at 7 pm:
A Musical Feast for Passover hosted by Itzhak Perlman in observance of Passover.


Sunday, April 4th, 5-7 am and 12-2 pm:
Sunday Baroque – This season is a time of spiritual reflection, hopeful renewal, and reconciliation. We’ll celebrate Easter this weekend with music illustrating the broadly uplifting and optimistic spirit of this season. Fill your Easter Basket with music on Sunday Baroque this weekend.

Millennium of Music: A Suzi Digby Holy Week Part 2 – The director of the Ora Singers returns to share music from the Passion and into Easter; part 2 takes us from Good Friday to Easter day itself.


Sunday, April 4th, 10 pm-midnight
Pipedreams – Easter music: uplifting and engaging compositions for organs and voices to raise the spirits, including works by Franck, Widor, Vaughan Williams and many more.


Monday, April 5th at 1 pm:
Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony No. 5 for The Big One at 1:00 in observance of Easter Monday.


Tuesday, April 6th at 1 pm:
Mahler’s Resurrection Symphony No. 2 for The Big One at 1:00 in observance of Easter Tuesday.
