Hector Guzman is joined by pianist Sean Chen for Mendelssohn’s virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 1, made famous in part by the legendary Rudolf Serkin. Chen
won Third Prize in the 14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, is a Juilliard graduate, and the winner of numerous additional awards. These awards
include being a semifinalist at the 2012 Leeds International Competition and taking 2nd Prize at the 2011 Seoul International Music Competition. He has
been hailed for his “formidable set of fingers” (The Dallas Morning News).

The creation of Leonard Bernstein’s famous work based on Psalm texts resulted from a commission by the Southern Cathedrals Festival at Chichester Cathedral.
Dvořák’s “New World Symphony,” as it is often called, is one of the most popular symphonies performed today. It is based on Dvořák’s interest in Native
American music. A recording of the work was taken to the moon by Neil Armstrong!
