Contemporary Theatre of Dallas presents Dancing At Lughnasa by Brian Friel

Sept. 9-Oct. 2

7:30 on Thursdays, 8:00 on Fridays; 3:00 and 8:00 Saturdays; 2:00 Sundays
Widely regardeed as Brian Friel’s masterpiece, this Tony Award winning play is Friel’s tribute to the spirit and valor of the past. In a house just outside the village of Ballybeg live the five unmarried Mundy sisters. Preparations are underway for the festival of Lughnasa celebrating the pagan god of the harvest with drunken revelry and dancing. The action of the play is told through a young man who remembers the five women who raised him and the pivotal disturbances of 1936.
