Appearing for the first time on the CMSFW series are pianist Sergei Babayan and cellist Suren Bagratuni. Mr. Babayan’s performance is described as “elegant,
intelligent yet colorful, rational yet never wanting for passion and tenderness.” Born in the former USSR he studied at Moscow University and has gone
on to perform in major halls around the world as soloist and chamber musician. Cellist Suren Baratuni was also a student at Moscow Conservatory and has
gone on to a distinguished international career as a soloist, recitals, and chamber musician. CMSFW Artistic Director and violinist Gary Levinson (also
Russian-born) completes this artistic trio.
