Denton County present “Day of the Dance”, a short dance concert with a variety of

dance works and live music honoring the Day of the Dead traditions on Friday, October
7, 8:30 p.m. at the PointBank Black Box Theatre, 318 East Hickory Street, Denton. A
suggested donation of $5 can be made at the door with no advance ticket sales.
“Day of the Dance” will feature a variety of performers including Sarah Ruth
Alexander, whose haunting vocal virtuosics will accompany the etherealities of TWU
Dance professor Sarah Gamblin (formerly Stereo Sarah); Tara Baker, who will share
her astounding hoop artistry; the smart, evocative dance work of Yeajean Choi of Korea
with music composed by Matt Dixon (of Denton’s Mr. Molly) and a quartet with a live
jazz music trio, featuring Chad Underriner and choreographed by TWU alumnus
Christie Nelson.
