ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

•Achieve revenue goals as defined by management.

 

•Sell and service assigned account list and develop new business accounts.

 

•Create customized presentations of the highest quality for new and existing accounts.

 

•Develop and grow new relationships at multiple levels of the customer's organization in

order to guarantee effective contacts internal to the organization and to be aware of problems and opportunities.

 

•Maintain call volume of no less than ten face-to-face meetings per week.

 

•Accurately forecast revenue on a rolling three-month basis.

 

•Adhere to station policies regarding pricing, merchandising, commercial content, competitive product protection, etc., and monitor competition with the highest degree of integrity and ethics.

 

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

 

•Must be a self-starter and independent producer.

 

•Minimum two years of quota-carrying media sales experience or related business to business sales experience required.

 

•Proven ability to generate new accounts not related to ratings or traditional media efficiencies.

 

•A Bachelor's degree with emphasis in advertising/communications/media/journalism is preferred, but not a requirement for someone with the right experience, aptitude, and attitude.


 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·        Diplomacy, honesty, integrity, tact, creativity, "win-win" solution-seeking manner of conducting business is critical.

·        Excellent verbal, written, presentation and negotiation skills a must.

·        Natural ability to cold call, resulting in-person appointments is required.

·        Must be able to utilize research appropriately and effectively in presentations.

·        Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point for presentations preferred.

·        High degree of effective time management and organizational skills.

·        Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and stress.

·        Demonstrate initiative and ability to manage one's business with minimal supervision.

·        Interpersonal skills at all levels are critical to the effectiveness of this position.

WRR ENGINEER

 

WRR has a rare opening for a Radio Engineer. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of studio equipment, transmitting and ancillary equipment in order to maintain competitive signals in the market while complying with all FCC technical requirements. Also includes assisting with telecommunications, computer and networking systems.

 

This is a full time City of Dallas position with excellent employee benefits that begin on the first day of employment, and offers an exceptional pension plan.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

•Reports directly to General Manager.

•Maintains station operation through preventative and corrective maintenance.

•Establishes and follows routine maintenance procedures and schedules for all broadcast equipment.

•Performs necessary measurements of equipment performance.

•Installs and performs maintenance on broadcast consoles, audio routers, recording equipment, microphones, digital audio systems, transmitters, antennas, control systems, remote equipment, etc.

•Assists with maintenance and support of computer networks and related systems.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

 

•A minimum of 5 years radio engineering experience is required.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·        Working knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations.

·        Computer literacy in applicable software packages (Microsoft OS and Office Suite, automation, etc.)

·        Ability to troubleshoot broadcast equipment to the component level.

·        Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and repair FM transmitting facilities.

·        Knowledge of electrical systems and the NEC, UPS, and standby generators.

·        You must be able to interact both independently and as a team member.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        This position is service oriented requiring strong written and oral communication skills.

·        Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines and skills in prioritizing.

·        Must be able to interact with technical and non-technical staff effectively, efficiently and with positive results with wide variety of personality types and professions both outside and inside the organization, including all departments of the station, the City, as with clients occasionally.

 

 

EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

 

•Associates or technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Broadcasting Technology or related field; or equivalent level of experience.

 

•SBE Certification.

 

•Must possess valid state driver license.

 

•Must provide required proof of personal vehicle insurance.

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

•May require lifting or moving up to 75 lbs.

 

•May require climbing ladders and working on elevated surfaces (e.g. rooftops)

 

•Requires good manual dexterity for soldering, use of hand tools and working on small components.

 

•Ability to be on 24 x 7 x 365 callout to respond to transmission systems failures to various locations.

WRR has a rare opening for an on-air afternoon drive announcer. We are looking for a: creative, compelling, personable, knowledgeable, professional, concise, energetic talent who understands how to create a personal connection with our listeners in a unique classical music environment, and making the format relevant to a larger audience. The successful candidate believes in being active on social media and on-site at events.

 

This is a full time City of Dallas position with excellent employee benefits that begin on the first day of employment, and offers an exceptional pension plan.

 

Voice-tracking candidates from other cities with a love of classical music will be considered for this or other potential opportunities.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

 

•A minimum of 3 years of professional on-air experience is required. All relevant format background experience will be considered.

 

•Knowledge of classical music, art, and insight into the lifestyle of our affluent, educated, and influential audience is a big plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·        General knowledge of applicable FCC rules and regulations.

·        General knowledge of radio broadcasting equipment.

·        Computer literacy in applicable software packages ( Microsoft OS and Office Suite, Wide Orbit automation, Adobe Audition 6.0 production, etc.)

·        Ability to interact both independently and as a team member

·        Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines and skills in prioritizing

·        Must be able to interact with technical and non-technical staff effectively, efficiently and with positive results with a wide variety of personality types and professions both outside and inside the organization, including all departments of the station, the City, as with advertising clients occasionally.

 

EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

A significant knowledge of classical music artists and composers is necessary.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

Fluency in the English language.

 

Standing or sitting for extended periods of time.
