ORGAN MUSIC LOVERS – LISTEN UP! MARY PRESTON, Concert Organist and Resident Organist with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, will be presented in recital on Sunday evening April 29 at 5:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Dallas. The program will feature music of various styles including compositions by William Walton, J.S. Bach, Charles Ives, George Akerley, Louis Vierne, and Alexandre Guilmant. Preston is well known for her impeccable performances on the fabulous Fisk organ she plays at the Meyerson Symphony Center. She is beloved by music lovers from all over the Metroplex for her work at the DSO and around the country through her recordings. Preston is the Organist-Choirmaster at St. John's where she accompanies the parish's high-church worship and directs the church's Cantate Deo and Jubilate choirs.
