“What percentage of my donation goes to charity?” is a common question and one that the acclaimed Dan Pallotta believes is flawed. He argues powerfully that nonprofits are weak, because they are restrained from using powerful tools such as competitive salaries, advertising, risk-taking, and profits to lure capital. He claims that there are two rule books; one for charity, and one for everything else. His opinions have created international debates, and soon Dan Pallotta will be speaking in Dallas. Dallas Social Venture Partners’ Social Innovation Luncheon Series will host Dan Pallotta to discuss “Capitalism for Good” on Friday, April 13, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tower Club at Thanksgiving Tower (1601 Elm Street, 48th Floor, Dallas 75201. Tickets are $50 each. For more information and to purchase tickets, call 972.386.7870 or visit www.DSVP.org. Seating is limited for this soon-to-sell-out event.
