Whether on the street or in the most prestigious theater, the dancers and musicians of DanceBrazil never fail to enthrall audiences with their unique fusion of Afro-Brazilian movement, contemporary dance and Capoeira, the traditional martial arts/dance form. In 2008, director Jolon Viera was honored with a National Heritage Fellowship for his work with the company.
