In this story by L. Frank Baum and based upon the classical motion picture, Dorothy Gale of Kansas, like so many girls her age, imagines that her heart’s desire is just over the rainbow. One day a twister hits the farm where she lives with her Uncle Henry and Aunt Em. During the storm, Dorothy suffers a bump on the head that knocks her unconscious and she dreams that she is carried away over the rainbow to another world. There she meets the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion, the two witches and the “great and powerful” Wizard of Oz in the fascinating universe of her imagination.
