Kirk Hopper Fine Art presents Ledelle Moe:Transitions/Displacements & Vince Jones: Tea For The Tillerman
Kirk Hopper Fine Art
3008 Commerce St
Dallas, TX
Jones' exhibition Tea For The Tillerman is inspired by one of Cat Stevens’ most successful albums. Released in 1970, Tea For the Tillerman includes many of Stevens’ best-known songs such as “Where Do the Children Play?”, “Hard Headed Woman”, “Wild World”, “Sad Lisa”, “Into White” and “Father and Son.” Jones features eleven pieces that correspond with a particular song from Tea For The Tillerman, establishing a dialogue between music and its translation into visual art. The artist creates sometimes delicate yet mind puzzling collages that leave the viewer intrigued and attracted to an intimate and private interpretation, as the artist wishes.
