Dallas' own Simon Sargon is world renowned for the diversity of his compositions for orchestra, voice, piano and choruses, and for his contributions to contemporary American Jewish music. The Plano Civic Chorus will premiere two new works by Sargon and perform the delightful Bonie Wee Thing, based on four poems by Robert Burns. In contrast, the second half of the concert features Anton Bruckner's poignant Mass in E minor, a 19th century choral masterpiece known for its expressive purity.
