This irreverent work chronicles the life of Daisy, who has the misfortune to be born to parents that are completely off their respective rockers. They want to be good parents, but have no skills whatsoever. In fact, crouching by the refrigerator, refusing to speak or move, and heavy alcohol consumption are favorite coping methods. They are so delusional that they believe that after bringing baby home, they must decide the gender of the child. Daisy’s early experiences are further traumatizing by the crazed nanny that mysteriously shows up, a vicious dog and being thrown under a bus. In the end the play comes full circle as Daisy and spouse fondly regard their own child – forgiving of the past but determined not to repeat its calamitous mistakes. Darkly funny, this piece is about how difficult it is to be a parent and how frightening it can be to be a baby and a child. For mature audiences due to language and subject matter.
