The Band treasures it's long-standing tradition of ending each concert with a march by American composer John Philip Sousa. We do this not only as a tribute to the fine marches he has added to the band repertoire, but also to acknowledge his contribution to the American band movement. Sousa composed 136 marches (Two of them have been lost.) and the RCB has performed 113 of them. We will play numbers 115 and 116 at Pops Showcase Concert at the Eisemann Center.
