"Cycle" is a new contemporary dance piece about the beginning, highlight and ending of a relationship by local dancer and choreographer Favian Herrera. "Cycle is danced by Alyssa Rubio and Madi Frampton. "Pizcas" by Margarito Rodríguez is a story adapted and directed by Cora Cardona "Pizcar" means picking a small item, and in the content of our play it implies to pick one cotton bud at a time. This monologue performed by Alejandra Flores, with the support of dancers, mixes narrative and action allowing the audience to travel with an 11-year-old migrant worker to the cotton fields of Texas. Drama and Humor bring to life the important and often untold story of the life, of children workers and their contributions to our communities, tables, and clothing. "Pizcas" directly addresses the diversity of Texas while preserving our local heritage through a production, which reflects our past and present. For information: 214-689-6492 or www.teatrodallas.org
