This recital features Wiley Lindsey, tenor. Wiley Lindsey, a Senior at Texas Wesleyan University, is a vocal performance major. He currently studies voice under instructor Ms. Julie McCoy. Wiley graduated in 2009 from Azle High School, where he studied under voice instructor Holly Davis. Wiley is a student of Texas Wesleyan’s Opera Workshop, Wesleyan Chamber Singers, and Wesleyan Chorale. Wiley has played roles as Hoffman in The Tales of Hoffman, and Rodolfo from La bohème in Opera Workshop scenes. Wiley has been singing for most of his life and his parents, Danny and Lisa Lindsey, have been his role models. In the summers of 2007 and 2009 Wiley traveled to the cities of Vermont, Montreal, Seattle, Vancouver, and Victoria with the Youth Cue International Chorus, consisting of youth mainly from North America serving mission work for families, kids, homeless, and many other less fortunate people. In 2011, he was selected to sing in the President’s Honors Concert. In fall of 2011 Wiley was fortunate to advance to the Semi-final rounds at NATS (National Association Teachers of Singing) in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After graduation, Wiley plans to continue in music and eventually pursue a master’s degree in music. For information: (817) 531-4992 or
