VocalEssence has made multiple appearances on the national radio program “Prairie Home Companion” and has appeared in great concert halls around the world. The group has 14 commercially released recordings in print, including four CDs of music by African American composers and artists, three live recordings with special guest Garrison Keillor, and two Christmas albums. The program will be titled “Music of the Americas: North and South of the Rio Grande.” The group is directed by Philip Brunelle, considered to be one of the finest living choral conductors in America.
