Dec 13 and 14
Friday at 6 pm and Saturday at 7 pm
This free event begins with a tour of the Bethlehem Village. Come walk through the streets of Old Bethlehem and interact with the merchants of the day. Visitors will get a brief taste of the sights, sounds and smells of a Middle Eastern marketplace from over 2,000 years ago. The Christmas Concert, performed by the St. Paul Praise Band, will be run throughout the evening in the sanctuary for those waiting on their tour guide for the outside portion of the event.
Visitors are then guided through six live action scenes depicting the major events leading to the birth of Christ. This lively production is performed by members of the church and community, dressed in costumes from that era. The whole family will enjoy the special effects provided by live camels, donkeys, sheep and other animals. Following the outdoor scenes, visitors will finish up with refreshments inside the Fellowship Hall.
Tours will be running throughout the evening from 7 – 9 p.m. on Friday, December 13th and from 6 – 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th. The program is presented rain or shine (outdoor scenes will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather).
