DSO's largest fundraiser celebrates a remarkable 10-year relationship with AT&T
The 2010 Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T Gala, themed "Of Life and Love," is pleased to present internationally-acclaimed pianist Jeffrey Kahane, heralded by The New York Times as "an energetic and eloquent player." The 11th of September Gala event is also the opening weekend of the Texas Instruments Classical Season and proudly marks AT&T's tenth consecutive year of support for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T Gala, which benefits the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and its many programs including adult and youth education and community outreach initiatives.
Music Director Jaap van Zweden will lead the DSO in Beethoven's revolutionary Symphony No. 3, Eroica and Kahane in Beethoven's lyrical Piano Concerto No. 4. The annual Black-Tie event will include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, an exquisitely prepared seated dinner in the Meyerson's grand lobby and a concert performance followed by an after-party that promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
